Dear PAMLA Friends and Members,
We hope you, your loved ones, and your students and colleagues are well! During these strange days, we want you to know that we are working to keep PAMLA healthy and moving forward, and that we are looking at all sorts of possibilities for our future. Given concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we want to reassure you that we will be monitoring the situation as we continue planning for our conference in November. In order to give everyone a bit more time, we’ve decided to extend our deadline for paper proposals to July 1. Should you have any questions, feel free to call PAMLA Executive Director Craig Svonkin: 626-354-7526.
Given the obstacles facing our association in this difficult time, if you could see fit to join PAMLA for the 2020 year, and perhaps make a donation of any amount to our General Fund, that would be most appreciated. PAMLA has been an important association for many of us for many years. It has provided us with a place to share our research, a place to make new scholarly friends and, at our annual conference, see our older PAMLA friends. It has provided younger scholars a welcoming place to learn about our discipline and to share their research. So, if you can, please rejoin PAMLA for the 2020 year, and if you are able, please consider donating to the PAMLA General Fund. We could use your support:
