Assistant Professor of Hispanic Poetry

California State University, Fresno
Duties include teaching upper-division and graduate courses in Spanish and Spanish-American poetry from the Middle Ages through the contemporary period, developing and enhancing appropriate curricular offerings, conducting research in area of specialization, mentoring students, participating in department, college, and university committees, and engaging in community service and outreach.
Required qualifications:
1) Native or near-native ability in Spanish;
2) Evidence of success in teaching excellence at the collegiate level;
3) Evidence of scholarly research on Hispanic poetry, such as conference presentations, dissertation topic, and/or publications;
4) Ability to demonstrate a commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
