AV Information
Most of the rooms at the Westin Pasadena will have an LCD projector and screen. Panelists will need to bring their own laptop, and, if they have a Mac, the proper adaptor. There will be no laptops available for use. We will have a number of speakers that can be checked out from the Registration desk for those who need sound. Please have your chair or presiding officer email PAMLA Executive Director Craig Svonkin ([email protected]) ahead of time to let him know if your session will need to have sound speakers that will plug into a laptop (please name the session and time of the session).

Directions to the Westin
The Westin Pasadena is located in the heart of Pasadena, a lovely city close to Los Angeles. You can fly into Burbank Airport (and take a shuttle or Uber or Lyft to the hotel or rent a car), or LAX. Burbank Airport is a bit closer to Pasadena, but doesn’t have easy public transportation to Pasadena. LAX tends to be easier and less expensive to fly into, has better public transportation, but is a bit further away from Pasadena.
Should you not wish to rent a car at LAX (or Burbank), you can pre-arrange for a shuttle, or you can take the LAX FlyAway bus to Union Station in downtown LA (http://www.lawa.org/flyaway/content.aspx?id=10152 ), and then take the Gold Line light rail to the Memorial Park station in Pasadena, which is an approximately fifteen-minute walk from the Westin Pasadena (https://media.metro.net/riding_metro/bus_overview/images/804.pdf ). If you don’t wish to walk this last fifteen minutes, you may be able to call the Westin upon your arrival at Memorial Park station, to request a pick-up.
For more information about mass transit in LA, check out the new Metro website (in Beta testing mode still, but helpful): https://beta.metro.net
For more transportation and parking information, see the Westin’s transportation page here: http://www.starwoodhotels.com/westin/property/area/transportation.html?propertyID=1453&language=en_US
Parking
Self-parking at the Westin is $11 for hotel guests (no in-and-out privileges), and valet parking is $15 per night (endless in-and-out privileges). If you are not staying at the Westin, you will pay a bit more ($15 for self-parking; $17 for valet). There is inexpensive $5 self-parking after 5 pm and on the weekends (no overnight privileges). Entrance to the self-parking garage for the Westin is on East Union St., just south of the Westin’s front entrance on Los Robles.
Copies and Printing
Hotel Guests at the Westin Pasadena may use the hotel’s small business center to print out a document, but there are only two computers available on the first floor for hotel guest use, so do plan ahead.
A FedEx Office is immediately outside of the Westin. They do not have any computers for your use, but can print for you if you are able to email them something or have a document on a flashdrive. They also do shipping.
