114th Annual Conference - Pasadena, California
Friday, November 11 - Sunday, November 13, 2016

Food Studies

Presiding Officer:
Helen Yilun Huang, University of Oregon

As a field, Food Studies challenges visible or invisible boundaries that previous scholarship maintains, investigating how the complicated relationship among national narratives, power entanglements, and historical and political registers is mediated imaginatively and institutionally. This session welcomes any proposals on food studies, but paper proposals employing food studies as an interdisciplinary approach to cross boundaries of literature, print culture, history, geography, or transnational circulations would be of particular interest.
