Borges' Library: Fictional Configurations of Totality Today

Presiding Officer:
Eunha Choi, California State University, Long Beach

This session calls for papers exploring past, current or yet-to-come representations of totality, ones that pierce doubting holes in the inherited understanding of totality as whole, complete, hermetic, perversely idealist and separated from the materialist and in-flux conditions of social history and politics. The library, though total, never attains completion.
