Job Announcement: Tenure-track Position in Hemispheric American Literature, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona

The English & Foreign Languages Department at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona seeks a tenure-track position Assistant Professor to begin fall 2018 in Hemispheric American literature (20th/21st C. preferable), with demonstrated interest in Chicano/a or Latino/a literature. The successful candidate will teach courses in the English B.A. and M.A. programs and have additional abilities in literary theory, specifically queer theory, gender and sexuality studies, or critical race theory. We further seek candidates with fluency in a language other than English, particularly Spanish, and interest or ability in comparative indigenous literatures, creative writing, poetry and poetics, or internship coordination.
