PAMLA German Studies Grant

Students presenting at this year's PAMLA Conference on a topic in the field of German Studies have a new funding opportunity. Please encourage them to apply for the PAMLA German Studies Grant on the PAMLA website.

The PAMLA German Studies Grant honors the memories of a number of Germanists who had been active in PAMLA, including Gunter H. Hertling, Wolfgang Nehring, Jens Rieckmann, Thomas Saine, Hans Wagener, and others.

Conference Hotel Information and Rate

Our main conference hotel is the full-service, three-star Four Points by Sheraton Bellingham, a thirty-minute walk from the conference registration desk at Western Washington University's Wilson Library (516 High St., Bellingham, WA 98225). 

The special PAMLA room rate is $119 a night (plus the 10.7% tax) for two Queens or a single King bed.

Please join us for the 2018 PAMLA Conference, to be held over the November 9-11 weekend, at lovely Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. With over 125 approved sessions, please join us for this scholarly conference devoted to the advancement and sharing of knowledge of ancient and modern languages, literatures, media, and cultures. PAMLA is proud to have so many scholars from outside the United States as members. Many of our long-time members teach abroad. Many more teach in the U.S. but were born abroad.
 

PAMLA Conference Parking, Shuttle, and Registration

We hope you are joining us for the 2017 PAMLA Conference at Chaminade University of Honolulu, starting Friday morning, November 10, and continuing on until Sunday afternoon, November 12.

The entire conference--all of our conference rooms--will be located at Chaminade University, so you shouldn’t get lost.

Chaminade University's entrance is located at: 3140 Waialae Ave, Honolulu, HI 96816. Registration will be held in the Ching Conference Center in Eiben Hall.
